Olive oil, pre shampoo treatment

Ladies, when you do pre-shampoo treatments, is it applied to wet or dry hair,

I used to do it on dry hair but the last time I did it I did it on damp hair....sat under the dryer with a plastic cap and then shampooed. Years ago I did on dry hair and left it over night...mmmm...

I might do that tonight...Thanks!

I prefer wet hair, but normally whatever is convenient at the time.
