OMG I'm so in love right now with Bentonite clay mask on your hair. :lick::lick::lick: My hair is so shiny, soft and manageable it feels like I have 3a hair. I'm loving this treatment .Does anyone else have any secrets they are holding?:lol::lol:

P.S: Has anyone ever tried Palmers Coco butter Moisturizing oil???

I second that! The bentonite clay mask is def the truth. It helps to keep my hair nice, clean, and shiny! The only other thing that I use that is not discussed a lot is a good ceramide oil and also JBCO. I am so stuck on eucalyptus oil and emu oil right now. I added them both to my night-time scalp oil and have had a lot of success with these.

I feel like these are discussed ad nauseam. Maybe I'm reading the same threads over and over again.

Have you seen more moisture? Shine?

Yes I have. It also has a slight clarifying effect. I use it once a month on my hair. It also helps me to stretch my natural hair naturally. The recipe that I use is:

1/2 cup of clay
1 tablespoon of EVOO
1/2 teaspoon of Jojoba oil
Enough water to make mixture like cake batter

Im relaxed and I tried it and it was drying and hard to get out :(
I loved it on my natural hair though.
So to still get the same cleansing effects on my relaxed hair, I add tsp of bentonite clay to some castille soap along with baking soda and oils, shake it up really well and use that as my "shampoo" and body soap.

Thanks I can tell my cousin about it because she is relaxed

Does anyone like this over Terressentials? I have a giant jar of clay in my bathroom but I use it mainly on my face.

Has anyone tried this kind? I know that hey Fran Hey uses it.

Bentonite clay is a staple for me and DH. I never use clarifying shampoo anymore. I purchase mine mountainroseherbs.com and fromnaturewithlove.com during sales.

One of my favorite recipes:
Marshmallow Root Clarifying Treatment: 1/2 Cup Bentonite Clay Powder, 2 TBSP Marshmallow Root Powder, 1/4 Cup Aloe Vera Gel/Juice, 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar. Prep: Mix ingredients into a cake batter consistency and apply to damp hair. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and do not allow to dry. Rinse with lukewarm to cool water.

I've also mixed bentonite clay with rose water, brine and different oils.

I add it to deep conditioners and Co-Cleansers. Leaves my hair super-moisturized and cuts down on the DCing time.

I have some mud wash I'm kinda scared to use because my hair is porous.

Have you thought about trying Rhassoul clay? You can also get a shine or gloss treatment to help you to retain moisture.

I'm relaxed and I just did this yesterday. I have the Aztec Clay, which I had forgotten about. I just mixed it with water and a cap full of ACV. I should've added some oil or aloe vera, since it did seem a little drying. But I found it helpful to co-wash it out. I need to remember to do this at least once a month.
