I have been using optimum relaxer for a little over a year. It is for color treated hair and I have highlights (now growing them out).

each time I use this my head is on fire. I told my hairdresser that it burns and she said she is just going to base my head for the next time. i remember that she based it before and it still burned. I told her I wanted to switch and she said this is what she uses.

has anyone have an issue with this relaxer?

I used this relaxer and I used regular strength. The only times it has burned is when I scratch too much before I texlaxed (forgetting that I shouldnt scratch). Other than that, no problems. But I should add I only leave chemicals in my hair for 5 mins or so.

Sounds like you need to get rid of your stylist. What makes her think she can force you to take a perm that burns or may be to harsh for your head?
She needs to invest in another product or you need to leave her and find someone else...:yep:

sorry this happend to you i use it and it doing good so far but you need to find a new stylist and or perm cause burning ant fun.

is that the same as the boxed optimum care? i just bought the new bodyfying one and was wondering how it was

I agree...I told her can switch ...but thats another story. She has been doing my hair since I was 7 so I guess she feels she has the authority...I will see what will happen next time

I have once and almost a second time but generally my hair is doing very very well with it. Plus I don't relax bone straight anyway
