Is this a protein conditioner? I am looking for the protein treatment by Optimum. If anyone knows what I am talking about, can you please post and tell me the name of this conditoner.

it does have protein in it. I tried using it after I used a
protein conditioner and my hair can out hard, so try to use it only

Hi Islandgirl. If you are referring to the Optimum Stay Strong Conditioner ("advanced strength system") that is in the pretty pink container, it is a moisturizing conditioner. It does have some hydrolyzed wheat protein in it, but it is way down on the list.

Hi Simsim1980. This has happened to me too. Actually, this is not the first moisturizing conditoner that Softsheen had. The former conditioner "Optimum Care Rich Conditioner" was much better at softening my hair after a protein treatment. I believe that they have replaced the old version with the new one that doesn't soften the hair as good. What I do is let the "stay strong" conditioner (along with a plastic cap) remain on my hair at least 5 - 10 minutes. Keep feeling your hair for that softness that you usually get from a creme conditioner. It will eventually soften the hair and make the comb-out process a little better. HTH...
