I was just wondering if anyone has experience with any other (read: less expensive) stand up dryers besides the PIbbs? I have been researching them but I prefer to hear the reviews of LHCF ladies . The Pibbs sounds awesome, but I would like something a little less expensive. DH already said he would get me a Pibbs for Christmas, but I really don't want him to spend that much. Is the Pibbs really worth it? Or does anyone else know of a less expensive brand that has worked well for them?

Thank you @MileHighDiva! Lol, I see one of those threads is very recent. I searched "Pibbs" a couple of weeks ago, but then got caught up reading all gajillion pages of the "Pibbsgate" scandal. I somehow missed the other one. Thank you so much!

I have the Gold n Hot Ionic Stand Up. It works great less than $100.00.

You might want to also look at the LCL one? Not sure of the price tho'.

I think that one was getting decent reviews.

My Gold n Hot works great for what I use it for. It has 3 Heat Levels including the Ionic.

Thank you @IDareT'sHair  I read up on the LCL, seems like it breaks a lot. I will look up the Gold N Hot. You saved my hair with your last suggestion of detangling with the denman Comb :yep:

@crazytrish75, please give me the 30 second version of pibbgate or provide the link. TIA

Basically, a few years ago, some ladies on here wrangled a great deal on Pibbs from a manufacturer. Drama ensued when they ran out of them and some ladies were very late getting theirs. One member in particular was causing a ruckus  I'll try to find the thread.

I bought a Highland Dryer from this store four years ago. It's one of the best larger purchases that I've made. I'm sitting under it right now, lol.

I was a member on here when that deal came about. I got the 514 and still use it to this day. I had no problems with the deal or delivery. I still remember the day it showed up at my door. That was one of the best deals LHCF had on the site. It was so popular that another group tried to get a similar deal and I'm not sure what happened with that second group. :look:

Yeah, I don't think the second deal panned out too well  I sure wish there would be another deal like that, but after all the drama, no sane person would want to take that on, I'm sure!

The Gold n Hot has 1800 or 2000 Watts. Which was my reason for getting this particular one. I've had it a while.

Yep, "thermal ionic by BaByliss Pro" for around $100-$139.

I brought the babyliss ionic rollabout dryer from Sallys about 6 months ago and it works really well and dries my hair fast. I have not tried a rollerset yet since I have been growing out my short haircut. I got it on sale only paid $75 free shipping. It gets really hot
