I thought maybe that I'd had a bad batch of hair because I have read that Outre Velvet Remi is the best hair you can buy from a Beauty Supply Store. After a second install, however, I'm running into the same problem.
Especially at the back, my hair is a dry matted mess. I can comb the hair out and it looks fine, minutes later, it bunches back up. I'm only 3 weeks into my install, not even half way through and I do not want to walk around looking life a fool by the head.
I've read about bleach baths, but I don't want to risk using bleach and amonia on hair that's actually sewed into my hair
I used the ACV Treatment last install and I have to admit that there was an improvement, but it didn't "cure" it. FYI An ACV Treatment is fusing one part Apple Cidar Vinegar, 2 parts water into a spray bottle and liberally spraying throughout the hair. The hair is then covered with a plastic cap 20-30 minutes and then rinsed with cold water. The ACV is said to close the hair cuticles and make them flat. The cold water assist in closing the cuticle as well.
I was careful this install to use less heat and wrap my hair nightly as well. I get my hair washed and deep-conditioned biweekly, too.
Has anyone had a similar experience with this hair and managed to bring its dry, matted tendencies to life again?

I paid a pretty penny but it was worth it!
