I wasn't part of the challenge initially (at least I don't think so), but I wanted to see how the ladies participating were coming along, and what was working for you. I'd like to do this challenge for myself, this summer.
My sides are growing out nicely. I had to get a trim though
When I started on the challenge...my sides were a little below chin length. Then they grew out and touched the base of my neck. Now they are about an inch shorter than that. I think that the daily scalp massages that I am doing is one of the things that is working for me....along with working out...and using coconut oil. I think the next check is in a month or so? Join in Kaela...it's worth it!
Actually, tomorrow I will type the full list of everyone who has joined and post it here - I think a lot of members forgot, because many did not post on the last update...
All except the outermost layer are doing fine. The outermost layer (the one that gets brushed and perhaps snapped by my scrunchies as I put my hair in buns) is broken off at that point.
I'm not sure if I signed up for this challenge or not. I really should keep up with all these challenges! There are just sooooo many! But, if I didn't sign up for it, can you please put my name on the list, Lindy? Thanks, so much. By the way, surge and regular conditioner washes has helped tremendously in growing out my front sides!
My front is growing very nicely. My sides, now that's a different story. One side has grown dramatically but the other side is still way behind, although it has grown.
I dont remember if I posted on the last update or not, but my front is about and inch past my chin and my sides are about a little past shoulder length on the left and about and inch past shoulder on the right.
Update: My front and sides are coming along, not where I want them to be, but I'm on the right track. They are not as sraggly as they used to be.
I can attribute that to NOT brushing my hair at ALL in no way, shape or fashion.
Also, when I get my relaxers I do ALL my edges all the way around last. They are the last thing to see the relaxer, so its not staying on as long as the rest of my hair.
