Well,

I have CALMED down a lot. But I am still a major PJ! I finally finished using one bottle of my 32 oz (yes 32 oz) of Creme of Nature....only 2 more to go.

I ran out and purchased 2 Elasta QP Mango Butters....I have used one sparingly (not crazy about it)
I have used one entire bottle of Kemi Oyl Moisturizing Spray....I have 2 left. I like this product!!!!!!
I am 1/4 done with my ORS Mayo. I have 1 brand new one left.
I have 1/3 of the NASTY Nexxum Humectress left (I don't know how I will ever get rid of it. Of course I purchased the HUGE ecomony size one)
I still have 1/2 Dudley's PCA Moisturizer left.....
Almost the entire Kiehl's Silk Groom bottle.....
Not to mention the tons of other moisturizing conditioners I have (Break Thru, KemiOly Moyst, Softn Beatiful, Aphogee and etc)

I can go on and on....(like my 5lb tub of KeraCare Humecto-I use it at least 2x per week and will CUT u

if u try to take that from me. Why are my friends (the same ones that laughed at me asking me for a sample of my KeraCare Humecto. I will BLACK their eyes first

)

I would like to see who is just as bad (or worse) than me....what items do you have left and do you think you will EVER use them????

Wow. Making a list makes it really seem like A LOT of stuff. The good news is, I am sure I will use all of it. (except the Emergencee. If it’s a fake I don’t want to waste my time. Unfortunately the window of opportunity for returning it has passed, so that’s $17.00 down the drain.

And the Clairol Renewal, which I haven’t tried yet. But if its as good as its reviews I’m sure it’ll get used.

)

I like to rotate shampoo/conditioner combos every 4 weeks or so. The Pantene conditioners will be used when I use the Creme of Nature, and also on their own as conditioner washes. The intense moisture treatments will be used in the few washes after a hennalucent or Aphogee treatment. Leave-ins and S-curl get used pretty much every day. The WMM grease gets put on my ends whenever I wash my hair. The Motions Shampoo will be used as the last shampoo when I relax my hair. I like to put the Profective on my roots and ends between shampoos, while my hair is still in braids. The Natural 7 gets distributed thru my hair after a wash (post-leave in and/or S-curl), and I currently use it instead of body lotion as well. THe coconut oil is used as hot oil once a week with a heating cap. I have the tube hot oils to use with condition washes so that I can have hot oil without spending 30min with the heat cap. I wear twists now and again and I use the ORS gel for that.

I may be a PJ but I am still new to "conscious hair care" so I'm gonna give myself a break while I find out what products work best for me.

The products that will definitely have a permanent place in my regimen are: pantene conditoners (including the leave-in, S-curl,the CON shampoo (although I plan to get the one for damaged hair on the re-purchase) , Aphogee, the coconut/castor/honey mix for hot oil treatments, and the Hennalucent. I also LOOVE Rysell coconut. It smells WAAY better than Suave coconut and detangles much better, imo. The only thing is, I can only get it at the Botanica Boricua, and they aren't exactly a chain like CVS or Sally's. So I'm not sure I'll be making that permanent.

So far I have been finding stuff that works fairly well.

However, looking at this list I think I need to hold off on buying for awhile. I will try new things as I use up the old, insha'allah. I know it will be hard, though (Darn those CVS sales and $1.00 coupons in the Sunday paper!

IslandGirl. .....The Kiehl's silkgroom was ok...I really don't like the smell (mediciny) and it doesn't do much for my hair. I have 4a/3C hair that is very thick.......I hope this helps. Ladies with a thinner grade of hair (except for Adrienne) really like the Silk Groom..it is okay for me...not something I would repurchase.

I don't think that's too bad, but after me and my boyfriend broke up and he moved out, I did a big clean of the entire house, which included throwing away a lot of stuff, so I guess I got rid of about 5 other products, plus, my mother also uses some of my products.
