i've tried everything. motions, just for me,
carrot cream, olive oil, nothing helps. i'm thinking my hair doesn't take well to water based detanglers; i need something creamy. or at least something thats not gonna create more tangles.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you been detangling your hair in the shower with a WIDE tooth comb? This has helped me alot. And I think a water based detangler would be best since they will moisturize while they detangle. But maybe you could mix a water based conditioner like herbal essences with olive oil and see if that helps...

Biolage Daily Leave-in Tonic is a really good detangler. It comes in a spray, but it's kind of creamy too. This works at detangling my hair everytime.

I think LUST is an excellent hair detangler. The best I've found actually. Also Elucence Moisture Balance conditioner. Do use that wide tooth comb to comb it through after putting it on and also while rinsing it out in the shower.

I use the scurl spray to detangle and it works for me. I spray, massage in and then use a pick to comb it out. I don't know what I did before find the Scurl...

I know what you mean. My hair is natural and the tangles and coils can be a nightmare. I have recently tried Pantene Detangling Conditioner Spray. After washing and deep conditioning, i section my hair into 8 sections. I apply my daily nourishment leave-in to each section and then i spray on the pantene detangling spray. My combout did not seem to take that long and it was much easier.

When I first went natural, my stylist put me onto Rusk Invisible. It's a detangler that looks kind of like shampoo. You put it on wet hair (it lathers a tad), let it sit for a minute and then comb through. This made the combouts and my whole transition process much easier.

thanx lots ladies! im gonna hit sally's right away...
btw: you should see the comb i use; i swear farmers could do some serious crop dusting with it! its so big i got carpal tunnel(S) syndrom from lifting it! *L*

you should try the herbal essences leave in. it's creamy and it detangles really good. it is sooo easy to comb your hair when you use this one. or as a conditioner i'm really impressed with dove for dry/damaged hair.
