Hi,

I'm hiding my hair until the summer. I bought a drawstring straight hair synthetic ponytail and I wrap it around into a bun and pin it in place. Needless to say, I'm tired of the style.

Is there any other styles I can do with a fake ponytail?

Also, is there a ponytail with a little texture? You know the kind that has the look of new growth.

I used this one when I was transitioning.

Weave comes in ALL textures and styles.
It's just all about finding a BSS that supplies them all.

I'm currently doing my version of SouthernTease's bun found on her Mane and Chic blog http://maneandchic.blogspot.com/search?q=mane+clip. It's called the Mane Clip and you can buy it online for about $10 and you can just buy some weave that matches your texture, clip it in the barrette, clip the barrette to your bun, wrap the hair into a bigger bun and go! or you can tuck the hair under and leave the barrette showing for a different style. I just think it offers more options than the drawstring buns. I grew out my TWA with the drawstring ponytail bun and the string broke on me :nono: Now I'm transitioning with the mane clip and it's sooooo easy! I haven't downloaded pics from of my bun yet but once I do, I'll post back to show you!

HTH!

I use a human hair ponytail which is a little more versatile, but you can also change up the position, change up your bangs, and buy cute headbands (really big right now) to accessorize. I also do different types of buns.

Channie, that pony is really cute.

For years on end I had been gluing tracks in my hair and now I am using drawstrings in hopes of getting my hair back healthy again. Right now I'm overseas and have limited access to BSS's, so I have to do a majority of shopping online. I just got finished buying a couple of pieces from the two links below. They seem to have a good variety of textures to choose from.

Hey Diva in Training:wave: First of all welcome to LCHF. I commend you for taking the steps to get your hair back on track. Stay true to your regimen and I promise you you will see reults.

I just wanted to share that I have FINALLY found a phony pony with some texture in it. I bought it online here http://97.74.61.14/detail.php?pid=3...PONYTAIL&db_ccname=&db_csname=&current_page=1

This is the first phony pony that I have fpund to match my airdried texture. I hate walking around looking like Africa meets Europe, lol. Which trust me I have done before.

Here are some of the styles I have created using this one little pony.

I start by putting my hair in a bun, then I attach the pp to my bun like so:

I pull the hair out so that it makes a flouncy bun/pony thingy:

An earlier poster mentioned the Mane Clip- I have to second that I love the mane clip. My avatar picture is the mane clip.

Here is a bun that I created with the mane clip, with the same pp. I like to use pp with my mane clip rather that weft/track hair.
