I'm a newbie so forgive me if this has been posted before. I need a good post relaxer treatment. How soon after a relaxer do ya'll wash/condition your hair. Do you have to wait for the relaxer to "take"?

I feel that relaxers damage the hair so I want to rebuild it as soon as I can? Suggestions? /images/graemlins/user.gif

Usually I wait 7 days, but you could wash the hair sooner if you wish. I use a pantene clarfiying shampoo or keracare ist lather followed by keracare hydrating detangling poo. Then i use a reconstuctor such as joico k-pak, Affirm 5 in1 reconstructor or Nexxus Keraphix, i cover hair with plastic cap for 30minutes under a hooded dryer. After rinsing i apply a moisturising conditioner either Keracare humecto, Joico intensive moisturiser or Nexxus Humectress, sometimes i use others, i leave on for 30-45 min without heat.

i wait a week. i shampoo with nexxus therappe, then use EMERGENCEE (well usually keraphix but i just got emergencee LOL) then wash again w/ therappe, deep condition with humectress with heat for 20 minutes.
