Has anyone here used pure avocado oil? how does it work for you? does it leave a funny smell?

I used avocado oil in the past. I used it as a pre-shampoo treatment, and I also used it in my conditioners. It never left my hair smelling funny.

I've used it as a hot oil treatment and added it to my conditioners in the past. It was Ok, but nothing special.

thanx for the input. i also went to nc.com buuuuuuuut it doesnt look like a hair forum. lol. did it make ur hair soft curly? cuz i heard thats what avocado oil is supposed to do.

You know, now that I think about it, it did make my hair a little softer. After using it a few times, I purchased Redken All Soft because it has Avocado oil in it. The liquid shea butter/shea oil still works better for me though.

This is one of my favorite oils. It does not leave a funny smell.

I recently began using avocado oil. I've noticed immediately how well it absorbs & gives a nice soft texture to my hair. Mine is by Now Foods, 100% pure & has no smell at all

Ditto.
It absorbs well too. I sometimes use it as a hot oil treatment and nightly massages.
