Hi Ladies,

I did a protein treatment (Nexxus Emergencee) on Tuesday, is it too soon to henna my hair? Is there a certain amount of time I should wait? Thanks.

I would get the moisture level in my hair back up before proceeding with a henna treatment, but if your hair feels/is moisturized then you should have no problems doing it whenever you like.

IMO, I would wait about a week and during the week, do some moisturizing DCs to prepare your hair for the Henna as this could be a double whammy for your hair...

I've done it and it was fine for me.

I was trying to stop some breakage, and used Emergencee. (in the same way that the Aphogee treatment is used) breakage did not stop.

I did a nice henna treatment a week later and that did the trick - with no dryness! :yep:

But I use a full fat yogurt and honey in my henna mix. That may help. I also did a cholesterol (no protein) deep afterwards.

I have no dryness whatsoever!
