Question about Steaming

Ok, I did do a search and I can't find the answer I am looking for.

I have a standalone steamer that I need to get rid of; due to lack of space in my small apartment.

I do own a standalone dryer (which I'm keeping).

My question is, what are other ways to "steam" my hair without a steamer?

I don't steam but I heard some women do it in the shower with a cap on. Not exactly sure though. Must have the water on scolding it seems.

I've heard of the wet towel method. You cover your hair with plastic cap, microwave a wet towel and wrap it around, then cover with another plastic cap.

I'm pretty sure it will come up on a google search.

I do this exact method, but with a heating source. My source is a soft bonnet dryer. Its cheap, works exactly the same and I can steam for however long I want. I never exceed a hour though. I love it !:)

This is what I do. I just did it yesterday. Sometimes I use an old T-shirt instead of a towel.
