got my flat twists done yesterday. I have heat damage & my hair wasn't responding to the deep conditioner.

she told me to focus on moisture and do low manipulation styles. she told me I could cut my hair gradually or If I wanted, she could do a big chop if I wanted a fresh start.

I've never had short hair before so I don't know what to do

To treat a customer like this is just wrong and unprofessional. The stylist was super hostile and aggressive. Seems like her reaction and desire to cut the woman’s hair was motivated by envy because not all of that length needed to be cut. Furthermore, if the client’s hair is anything like mine, no matter how much is bluntly cut off, my hair will grow back in dramatic layers.

Hair has energy which means it can absorb the other person's vibes. Personally i don't want a hostile person working on my hair. I would have left. In fact I have left and didn't pay because tbe attitude was so off putting. Back in the day, folks wouldn't let a pregnant woman work on their hair. The belief was that the hair would fall out??? Same concept. Hair has energy.

After a recent health complication I just don’t care about hair any more. I can’t get excited about new techniques or products. I don’t want anything either. It’s like I feel satisfied . I know what works with my hair and lifestyle.

So I ordered some incense from a vendor in DC. I'm in NY. Went to bed last night and the package was in NJ. Checked this morning and my package was in Puerto Rico! How the he$$ did the PO mistake NY for PR! Is it me or is mail delivery getting worse! OK rant over.

for those who big chopped, was it actually easier to manage your hair? i want to do a bob but how would i put my hair in a ponytail?

also debating cutting it myself. i was actually happy with my bubbles salon cut even though he didnt flat iron my roots correctly at all. it took months after that cut to see any split ends so i think the shears used were much better than what i have.

i’ve got roughly 8 inches of new growth all around, with some 6 inches and some as long as 10. i’m not sure i have long enough hair in all sections for the look i want.

I made the jar of biocomplex in December. Used it twice because I only take my hair down every 6-7 weeks.

I’m using the rest up as a spritz because I don’t want it to go bad.

I think I’ll take my hair down at 5 weeks before I go vacation.

Yesterday I got some very positive feedback on the infused oils I made last year. My friend said that her son's hair grew a lot and her daughter's psoriasis on her scalp really cleared up while they were using them. After considering the easiest way to use the oils on my hair, I've decided to go with an overnight prepoo once or twice per month, I hope I see some benefits too.
