Her texlax does not look like yours although i wished it did....it has more of a loose wave to it, when we was we look like one big fizzy mess

If she is having problems with a ponytail than why not try teaching her how to do a puff? Almost every morning I put a little water around the edges of my hair, use my denman to clear it out a bit around the edges, and then I double up on of those Goody's Ouchless elastic headbands, pull it over my head and slide it up to form the puff. If I want a smaller puff I can always stretch a piece of the headband out and put it around one more time. I put a little gel around the edges and I am done. Takes about 5 minutes and I also have very thick texlaxed hair.

I have no doubt you will find a solution Eyunka. I have seen your work over in the kids section and you have got skills. Don't let this stress you out girl:nono:

I do my daughters hair at night and I have to use two scarfs. One cotton bandanna scarf and a triangle scarf on top, both are put on very snug. And yes, she is a member of very, very wild club, my baby girl sleeps all over the bed, from corner to corner. This seems to work for me.

I have even allowed her to try and comb it but it is sooo thick she can't get her little hands around it to put it in a ponytail.

Plus I can't have her going to school looking a hot mess

if she does go looking a hot mess, maybe she'll realize she needs to get up earlier if she wants to look decent.

Sorry you are dealing with this.

My 14yo dd is a wild sleeper, scarves/bonnets do NOT work for her, but a satin pillow case does. When she wants her edges to really lay down she uses a satin headband she made. She covered one of her basketball headbands with a satin piece of material...

that is pretty cool.

Oh..Glad it worked out...My DDs (age 6 and 4) can't keep a scarf on their heads either. They both sleep on a satin pillowcase and I cover their hair w/a pantyhose cap. That's the ONLY thing that works...So if you have any more issues, try a pantyhose cap...
