I just got a texturizer using Revlon Realistic Lye.
I plan on doing this every 6+ months as my texture in my signature is totally off.
My texture is really 2b on hairline and nape and a mixture of 3c/4a everywhere else - go figure!!

Question: when I go to do touch-ups, does it latter if I use another brand of relaxer as long as it's lye?

It's best to use the same relaxer you've been using. Otherwise, hair may start behaving differently.

If the Revlon is too strong, dilute with a conditioner. Did you do the texturizer yourself? If so, good for you!

If not, did you find a salon here?

i have that same hair type except i'm a 2c with 3b/c parts around the edges, back, and nape. How weird is that. I think you should use the same relaxer.

I had a stylist do it - she came to my home...wasn't brave enough yet...but I think I will try to do the touch ups...looking to do them once every 6-12 months...I actually made sure she diluted the relaxer with conditioner...I don't think she did a 1:1 ratio though b/c when rinsing I felt a little burning sensation maybe b/c I had just scratched that part of my head right before she came...
