Ok..Ive read the raves so I HAD to try this product. I used this conditioner for 20 minutes under the dryer. Ill start by saying this product gave me NO SLIP whatsoever...it made me pretty mad. So mad that I just finished rinsing got out of the shower and put my hair in a bun. I used no leave in. Oh my GOODNESS when I woke up this morning my hair was SUPER soft!!!!!! I cant remember when my hair has been so soft, bouncy, and SHINY, I cant keep my hands out of it!!! I thought I would end up throwing this one away but Im keeping it!!!!! MY hair still smells HEAVENLY!! I think maybe the keratin may have been the reason I didnt get the slip I wanted...Im already bordelining on protein overload but the after effects are too much to overook!!!!! Silicon Mix is DEFINATELY a keeper!!
 
I sent mine to Miracle cause it made my hair feel rough and tangled when rinsing too. I never got to feel the final results cause I was so mad at how my hair felt when I was rinsing that I shampooed again. Maybe, just maybe I will invest another $5 and buy it and try it.

I was gonna buy the silicon mix but I saw the mineral oil so I didn't. But after seeing Babygurl's review and seeing that a lot of the ladies here still use it, I'm gonna buy it for my DC on saturday. I've been looking for a good deep conditioner. Mizani Moisturefuse has been the only one that has given me 'ok' slip since it hasn't compared to the slip from CON but at least it gave me some type of slip compared to NTM mask and lekair cholesterol. Hopefully silicon mix will be better and I can finally settle on a DC. :)

Glad you found something that gives you great results, this product is one that I definitely must try. I was checking out your album and I am amazed at how beautiful your hair is!
 
I bought this last week and I agree that is is the bomb!! It made my hair soooooo soft. I had crazy slip. I mixed mine with Miss Key 10 en 1. I would highly recommend this one!!
 
@SerenityBreeze: Good! I just bought mine today!! I'm gonna wash tonight! Can't wait! Now I really believe this thing b/c you mentioned moisturefuse in another thread and so I bought it and it was "okay/good", but also the closest thing to "good" or even "great" I have EVER gotten with a deep conditoner so now I'm really excited!
 
ITA, It made my 15wk NG 4b curl loosen. Babygurl, I see it had you fooled I know when I first used it I thought my hair was eating it up, because it doesn't just sit on the hair like other conditions do it was almost like applying my moisturizer, even when I touch my hair after I removed the saran wrap I was like okay, and then when I rinsed it out and combed through, then came the air dring part I was like WOW, why did they have to be sold out of the 2lb tub.:cool:

I relaxed my hair tonight and used the Silicon Mix mixed w/Skala Dominican Mix Vegetal Conditioner as a deep conditioner. Can we say MAJOR SLIP!!!!! :yay: :yay: I think I will be mixing it with the Skala from now on. :yep: That combo seems to work really well.
 
Can anyone list the ingredients, or at least say how far down the list the Mineral Oil is? I want to try this, but I don't like products w/too much mo in them. TIA :)
 
mineral oil is the second ingredient. yeah, that scared me too. That's why I didn't get it b4, but from all the raves, I had to. It's sitting in my hair right now. So I'll see for myself if the mineral oil will be so bad.

I had the same reaction you did when I first tried it...but u know I'm a mixologist and I love it now mixed with NTM - that combo is a staple now.

Girl I was mad, I was rinsing my hair like WTF? :lachen: My hair is still soft days later! I love this conditioner, despite its non-slip properties!

I love silicon mix, but Ive discontinued using it for now cause the past months Ive used it consistently with rea;lly good results. And now its making my hair dull. But it is a good product.
 
When I first started my haircare journey I cut out anything with MO. But this product gets such great raves (and I have the leave in, it's the best leave in I have EVER used on my hair-instantly softens it, comb almost runs through) I'm gonna have to try it!
 
Silicon Mix is amazing! Cuts through my new growth and tangles like butter!

I've been using it for about a year.

Really? I wonder what ingridients made it dull?
 
Silicon Mix faked me out; it gave great slip while in the shower, but after air drying my hair became a dry, crispy mess. I think the mineral oil was the culprit :perplexed
And I didn't like that heavy 'perfumy' odor. I gave it away :nono:
