Hello Everyone,

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am a newbie. I would like to know if there is a special way to seal your ends, or do you just apply oil/butter to the ends? Finally, which one do you prefer as a sealant; oil or butter? Thank you for your shared knowledge:newbie:

i like to just seal my ends (last inch of hair) with Argan oil or dip my ends in a little water or leave in conditioner and then seal with the oil...

NO no special way. I add a bit of leave in to the last inch of hair, then use an oil. I used to use shea butter but I'm all out. Right now, a heavy oil (castor, WGO-wheat germ oil, hempseed) are heavy enough for me.

I usually wet my hair with a moisturizing spray and then seal with a castor/olive oil blend. I usually have my hair in twists when I oil it and just run the oil down the length of the twist. I've never used butters on my hair, only oils.

I lightly mosturize with coconut oil and seal my ends with castor oil before baggying.
