I put shower caps over the sections I'm not doing. I use bobby pins to secure the shower caps. I didn't put shower caps over the sections I had already completed when I was doing the next section.
I started with the front right section, then the front left and I washed those sections over the sink. It was pretty easy since it was the front of my head. Also, I used the sprayer a lot and that was helpful. I washed the last section in the shower and I did put an unsecured shower cap over the first 2 sections while I did that.

now how do i relax in sections without it dripping over to the other section. i'm clumsy sometimes and don't want any accidents
also, did you wash it out in the shower or sink? the last time i washed in the sink i had to cut out hundreds of strands
