I DONT WANT TO SOUND CRAZY BUT I THINK MY HAIR IS SHRINKING. ITS BEEN ABOUT 12 WEEKS SINCE MY LAST PERM AND I HAVE ALOT OF NEW GROWTH BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MY HAIR IS SHORTER, BUT ITS STILL THICK. MY HASN'T BEEN BREAKING AND I'VE BEEN TAKING GOOD CARE OF IT. IS IT BECAUSE OF THE NEW GROWTH OR WHAT????? :perplexed

That just sounds like new growth to me. As the curls pull into the head, they pull the other hair with it. For me, this has always been the case.

12 weeks is a lot of new growth. So if you know your hair hasn't been breaking and it feels thick and healthy otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it.

HTH

Yes, shrinkage is natural, nothing to worry about.

Oh the joys of shrinkage  Yep this is normal, nothing to worry about.

 It's not shrinking (as in disappearing)....
Basically ur newgrowth (curly) is growing in & "lifting" the straight laying relaxed hair around it. Yes, it does give the appearance of shrinking relaxed hair, but actually the relaxed hair is merely being "lifted" by the more curly/thicker (newgrowth) around it :) Hope I didn't confuse u...
