Natural summers help me see exactly where my damage is and where I need to focus. It looks like my edges have taken some abuse. So what are some ways I can press my edges without using so much heat?

are you relaxed or natural? and when you say press are you talking about using a flat iron or a hot comb?

A lot of naturals use a boar bristle brush to smooth their edges and then apply a little gel before tying a silk scarf. I think those with relaxers do something similar minus the gel

I'm natural that twist in the summer and presses with a flat iron in the winter. I avoid brushes like the plague because of breakage.

Hicks Edges is good for laying down edges without heat. The only draw back is that you can only apply it a few times before it starts to build up in your hair.

Will this weigh the rest of my hair down? I would use this for pony tails, but would it work for wearing it down.
