Deep conditioned my hair with coconut oil and SHAMOO!! :wallbash: I didnt even realize it until 25 hot minutes later when came from under my hood dryer. I was about to rinse and happened to pick up the bottle and it said Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing SHAMPOO!!:perplexed:lachen: Man,when I say I felt so blind at that moment i really did....like maybe I DO need to get see n eye dog :nono:. I just rinsed it out and did a quick co-wash and did a leave in, used my shea butter mix and did twist/bantu knots. It didnt look bad after I washed it....it was....shiny actually:look: I may have to try this again...on purpose:look:

Oh nooooo! I remember that happening to someone else here and it did not have any negative effects on her hair. So I'm sure you'll be fine.

If it makes you feel any better... In highschool, my friend washed her hair at a classmate's house after swimming. She accidently used Nair and small clumps of her hair came out. Good thing you reached for shampoo instead of anything else! :)

It wasn't full of lather under that dryer, lol. Well it could have been far worse things that you could have grabbed (i read once where someone natural mistaked conditioner for with a relaxer). Happy everything worked out.

Wow! Glad everything turned out alright. It's ok girl...we've all had those "blind" moments. I've left the house with my bonnet on before without knowing because I am so used to keeping my head covered most of the time.:look:

Don't feel bad - I don't even need glasses and pulled a stunt like that in the shower - not paying attention to the bottles...it was the same product line too..Nexxus....I put the Nexxus Therappee in my hair after just washing with it thinking it was conditioner...(lol)...

Whaaa...oops. Terrible.

I did this just the other night. No glasses on and put the shampoo in my head and let it sit. Thinking I was deep conditioning. No wonder it was sudding up so much.

I'm sorry but I laughed! LMAO That's awful!
I HATE it when I reach for the conditioner bottle and accidentally apply like 4 oz of shampoo on my head LOL I've done it many times, but why does it only happen when I'm in a hurry?

I've made the mistake of purchasing shampoo thinking it was condish (darn aussie and their insanely similar bottles!!!)

I can't relate with the wrong product using, but I can relate (before surgery) to the glasses issue.

Okay I was already scheduled to get my lasik surgery, never in my 20 something years have I lost my glasses.

This one day in January 2010 I decided my face needed a facial. I had to remove my glasses to place the mud on it. SOooooo, after my face was hard, I cleaned my face and went to look for my glasses, mind you I am blind as a bat -6.00. sooooooo I looked as best as I could medicine cabinet, toilet, shower, side of sink, in the Living room I was on my knees patting the floor, sofa, table, and all over. I got panicy and called my husband yeah I could see those numbers when putting the phone close enough. I started balling, COME home I can't find my glasses, I can't see, I am not aware of the time. So my husband tells me to calm down he was going into a meeting, he calls back at 3:20 I am utterly frustrated, my sons came home I asked that they help me find my glasses.

My son goes "which ones mommy the ones on your head"

:(

I started laughing and crying

He goes you were joking right mom!

And this is one of the reasons I got lasik! I couldn't see a thing without them and would always pick up wrong items.

Very true...this could have turned out much worse. lol.

This happened to me last week. I, too, am on the blind side. I had foolishly bought Suave Humectant Poo instead of Condish @ target :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: So I sat down to DC while watching Lost. Only when I squeezed it out and the consistency was wrong did I look closer at the label and see it was shampoo :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

........(drum roll)....... And the award for the funniest glasses story goes to JJamiah!!!!!!!!!

Girl, that was HILARIOUS! Way too funny!

The kids thought you were joking!:lachen::lachen:

thanks for the laugh!

Yes! When I mentioned up thread about what happened to me, it was Aussie that I was using! It said 'Moist' so I thought it was the Aussie moist CONDITIONER. Not SHAMPOO! :lachen:

I am paranoid of this happening to me, so I am always extra careful, when using and purchasing. Seriously looking into that lasik :look:

Thanks for the laugh though.

I have perfect vision. However, I did this with an online purchase. Guess I was just oo eager to buy that shampoo and purchased the conditioner. I was so freakin' mad. But, what's funny is I was cussing the lady out in my head for sending me the wrong product. Then I saw the receipt and went to look online and nope....it was totally my fault! LOL

I'm so sorry you were upset. But, that was just too funny!

Best decisions I made concerning my vision. It's been almost 2 months for me, and I can see crystal clear. Be aware though, remembering those 349587943785 drops you have to take those first few days can be frustrating.
