i don't know who it is but it looks like braids tucked under and it's covered with a head band at the nape. like three chunky individuals braids made at the top of the head. at first by looking at it it seems difficult lolI thought this looked easy and beautiful, so I copied this photo while I was transitioning. Now that I'm natural I want details. Does anyone know whose hair this is, how they did it, and what the front looks like? http://s280.photobucket.com/user/Da...0684d77989581606f5374140_zpsbc05b594.jpg.html
Yeah that seems simple, put head band on leaving hair in the front of head band on both sides, loosely twist both sides, pin it(tie bow to cover pin I assume)and tuck the curly ends and because it's curly it gives it textureThis seems possible. With stretched hair, or maybe with small-ish twists? Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

I've been wondering. When I do a style with bobby pins, how do I avoid snagging my hair when I pull them out? I always seem to cause breakage when I use them because I can't keep them open when I take them out :-(
I tried it today but I think I'm going to go do it over. I separated at the roots too much so my scalp can be seen. This is BEAUTIFUL! !! I have been in a hair rut & this is a perfect style!
How I would achieve this is air dry in stretched twists or do corn rows. Once I take them down, separate & finger fluff to make a baa ( I will put in a video link to naptural85 since that's the best visual I found) then do 4-5 large loose flat twists to get that full look in the twists.
To "decorate" my tresses, I have hair pins with pearls or crystals so I can tuck & pin my ends away.
I will have to do this for my birthday

Here's another one that looks good. Gonna try this on an old twist out sometime soon.
