Well, I finally found what would give me a straighter, more sheeny straight style. Using Aveda Anti-Humectant! I love it, but find 2-3 days later it kind of makes my hair crispy, stiff and it seems a little dry. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you found a way to keep the crispness/stiffness at bay? I only use it during the initial flat iron and may use coconut oil in attempts to soften it back up during the week. This doesn't help much. I want a soft flat-iron. If you have found something that helps this, please share

I think it starts feeling stiff and dry because the anti-humectant prevents moisture from getting in. Do you moisturize before applying AAH? You may not be able to get any additional moisture in there once its applied.

yeah I had a nightmare experience with that stuff. the only fix was the humectant. to reverse it. then i never used it again
