I say a good weave, they are and can be effortless and allows your hair to rest. I did the big chop last year after a mess with some super glue...long story...tried braids for a hot second, didnt like them...not enough versatility and weaves have been my partner....I have reached past shoulder length with a weave. I recommend good hair (Halleys Curls is my favorite) weekly washing, deep conditioning and a good moisturizing spray, I am in love with Salerm algae spray every night, wrap it up and viola....length, good health and no worrys about my own hair and heat damage...
