I was wondering if there is too much oils on your new growth, will that hinder the full effectiveness of a relaxer? (i.e. getting it as straight as possible)
I think it was in Andre's book that said you should apply castor oil on the scalp for a few days prior to getting a touch-up -- to prevent burning, making sure not to get too much of it on the new growth as the relaxer will have to remain on your hair for a longer time.
