Trimming hair

I have been trimming my hair on my own trying to get rid of some relaxed ends. Once I trimmed with wet hair and the other times on dry. I was wondering if trimming on wet hair is ok. Does it lead to split ends quicker or is it damaging in some way? Does anyone maybe have a good link on the technique of trimming hair? TIA

i think trimming wet hair is fine...hmmm....i dont know though

Most stylist trim African American hair when it's dry because of shrinkage. Trimming hair dry will also dull the shears quicker. A stylist told me that once a long time ago. I've had it done both ways.

I prefer having mine trimmed dry.
