Nice review. But 39.50 is too steep for me. I bought a beanie and a bonnet stitched them together for about 8 bucks. Why pay all that money when you can get the same things at the BSS with the addition of some pins or thread?

I tried to do that, but I decided to just buy it because my knitting skills suck, and between midterms and papers I did not feel like trying to hone my skills. This is more for the lazy like me lol

Oh...being lazy is expensive. $40??? For satin??

You don't need to knit anything. You just sew a stitch or two around the hairline to keep the hat and the bonnet together. It doesn't even have to be pretty. Just as long as it doesn't show on the outside.

Aren't bbs bonnets not real satin? Real satin is pretty expensive. And like the review those threadmill beanies the satin alone is almost half the price of the beanie she actually bought. It is still a little pricey but I contemplated getting a threadmill beanie and just couldn't cough up the dough.

I just wear my satin bonnet under my hat and hope that the wind doesn't blow too hard. I tried stitching, but it looked horrible when I was done all the other options were too expensive

I'm not sure. But I've always heard that silk would be ideal, and satin is second best. So if I'm going to spend that much on a beanie, I would rather invest in silk and know that my money is going to the best I can afford. I haven't seen the video upthread but I've been to the website. The beanies are cute. I love the idea. Maybe I'll make my own...

Nice review. I have one from threadmill, but probably need a few more for next winter.

I could probably sew one together, but it would not be as neatvand I am passed the age of having any side or seam of what I am wearing looking unkempt.
