Till I found this site last month.....:)

In 2002 I did a big chop and started growing my hair out, however I just wore alot of weaves and didnt really nurture it properly..it grew but I broke down and got a perm and color again in like 2005...at the end of 2006 decided to let it grow out again....I guess I called myself trying to transition and after awhile when the new hair looked so drastically different than the permed hair I decided to do another big chop and just start again.....back in aug 07....
and last month I was ready to cut it all off again due to me thinking it wasn't really growin....I kept cutting it thinking Im supposed to cut it...I had no idea how to moisturize it properly (till I found this board).....

It started to break in the front this summer from me doing excessive hairstyles and probably wearin the fluffy fro out dry and always combing it.....never knew all that combing was bad for the hair either....

Its still my favorite style...to fluff it out and go

but thank you to you all and all the helpful tips I learned on this board and after reading so many different threads with people and their progress and care I decided to instead of cutting it off again, just start taking better care of it

I never could never really see how it was growing...it seemed to always look around the same length to me but looking at pics I can tell the difference

went from 8/07

to 9/08

I rarely str8n it and have decided to stop cutting it and see how it does for the next three months with some of the tips I picked up from this board

Although I still have a problem with dry scalp :(

I've tried several different tips that don't seem to work...but I think I will keep trying the ACV spray for a lil while longer to see if I can tame it

Your hair looks great!

You were going to cut it?!? bad girl :spank:

For dry scalp I like jojoba oil mixed with tea tree oil. Aloe vera gel, alone or mixed with a little oil is good too. Just in case the acv doesn't work out.

I made this jojoba oil recipe this other member on here talked about...joboba oil, nettle, horsetail and aloe i think.....I havent tried the tea tree oil tho...may try that next

you remind me of halle berry in that last pic :drunk:

i want a flat tummy like yours whats your exercise regimen:sekret:

your hair is beautiful and so are you.
i cnt wait to see how it will look in December
thanx...

I also did that aphoghee treatment that makes the hair hard then u wash out...I did that tonite.....I can't really tell a difference...there is so much stuff and so many different products on this board that I don't want to turn into a product junkie or become super hair obsessed....so I am going to stick to this olive oil/egg/honey treatment.....the 2 min aphoghee ....and the conditioning and moisturizing...and ACV....and just see what happens in three months.....

yoga, some cardio, some weights

recently started training with my brother and he has me on a totally different workout than I have ever been on.....we work out daily....but never strenous really....I never did abs, but now he has me doing them everyday...do cardio about 10 or 20 min....then work a body part out....work out enough to feel a burn , but never to burnout.....

Oh snap T look at you! I think you should do more sets with your natural hair especially when it's all curly and stuff. Have you figured out your hair type yet from reading the threads on here?

lol mannnnnnnn I didn't know you were having any issues with your hair from what I've seen it always looked nice now I'm gonna have to ask for pictures of your ends and stuff lol But nah I haven't been on here that long either just a couple months. I stopped perming my hair 4 months ago and I'm in that hide your hair until december challenge so I will let it loose then and see what's going on lol I'm getting my hair braided wednesday with no extensions. Will be easier to keep protected.

lol....my brother has about 5% body fat and is a ex football player and models for ford....he tends to drive the ladies a lil crazy..but he is a great trainer....lol

he has me lifting lighter weights and doing isolated muscle exercises ....those 3lbs can give you a good work out if done right, slowly with good form

I was trippin how tough it was to do isolated triceps with 5lbs.....maannn

your hair will sprout like a weed

and i dont jump on every bandwagon either. i see people on here do lots of reviews and say this product stripped my hair. i couldnt imagine that happening to my hair over 30 times. i only have a few products shampoos[2]
oils[3]
2 shea butters from ebay
leave ins[2]
deep conditioner [1]olive oil replenishing pac
conditioners[6 most of them are half way] i used a few up since march
im using up the ones that work good[all of them] so i can buy myself my staple aussie moist:lick: in a week or so. i dont want unused products just laying around.my son has curly hair too so i been using my conditioners 2 garnier and sunsilk on him, ive been using treseme lately it ws a 32 oz:ohwell: im on 6 oz though:grin: it works good but i wont buy again i love aussie too much.

my goal is to get rid of these conditioners by nov:yep:

Yea I don't want to have a cabinet full of 20 million different products either.....It gets real tempting reading this board to want to go out and buy up everything...I do want to check out the ayurveda powders tho...Im studying ayurvedic holistic health in my natural medicine studies and I like alot of the concepts from that aspect of healing and nurturing mind, body and soul...so I may try some of those products...

for some reason I can't see the current pic you have posted but you seem to have full thick healthy hair in your before pic.

Thnx.....I was over combing it out dry....so I definitely learned alot about keeping it moisturized....when i str8n it , its kind of fine.....I now see why when I snuck behind my moms back to get a perm why she was so adamant about me not getting one.....I didn't need it....took 15 years to realize she was right, but hey you live and learn....:)
