It’s in powder form. The texture reminds me of wet sand. I mixed 2 teaspoons into Shea Moisture High Porosity Mask. I didn’t know you can put cactus in anything.

My hair (after washing out the treatment) felt like BUTTA. My hair felt so hydrated. This is my first time trying this company out. From my scalp to my ends, my hair was jam packed with moisture.

Not sure if it was the product alone but that’s the only thing new I added into my regimen to give me moisture. To test this moisture, I installed curlformers. I was able to run a fine tooth comb thru each section w/no effort.

$6 for 1 sample and $3 for each additional sample. I would be at waist length had I known about this company years ago.

Where are the samples? I don't see them on the Belle Bar web site. The lowest price is $29! Yikes!

I just couldn't get to yes on this. Instead I bought Sukresh (sp) and hibiscus powder from Henna Sooq. Maca powder from amazon. Coconut water, molasses and avocados from market. I'm currently soaking Fenugreek. I have 2 DC's from CD (Rhassoul and Almond) that dry my hair out. So I'm going to experiment.

I love Henna Sooq. I have EVERYTHING except the deodorant. The green tea & fenugreek Growth Oil are the only two items Henna Sooq doesn’t have.

Sorry I was excited a left out huge details. CurlyProverbz X BelleBar has the fenugreek Growth Oil & green tea..... outside of that

Henna Gloss Bars, Cassia, Rhassoul clay wash, etc...... Henna Sooq has the same products but bigger and less expensive.

Instead of CurlyProverbz Rhassoul Clay wash, I faithfully use everyday Hennasooq Mud Wash & Rhassoul powder to make my own. (Since I swoop my edges w/ edge control, HS Mud Wash comes in handy as I make sure to wash my hair line too)

I DC'd this weekend and I added avocado oil, honey, aloe vera powder, marshmallow root powder, and slippery elm powder to my base. It was okay. Slightly more moisturizing than the conditioner on its own, but not significantly so. My mix was very runny (I microwaved it to melt the honey :ohwell:), and when I sat under the steamer it was just sliding off my hair.

I don't think I was supposed to just add the slippery elm and marshmallow powder to the DC. I was supposed to boil it in to a mucilage. The way I used it didn't add any additional slip.

I have a bunch of other stuff coming from lotion crafters and mountain rose herbs. So I'll be in here like a mad scientist until I get it right.

What's in your tea rinse? I did brew some hibiscus, rosehip, horsetail, guava leaf, green tea, and jasmine and used it as a leave in spray. It was more impressive the the DC concoction that I mixed up.

My mix includes: lavender, burdock root, horsetail, nettle, hibiscus, & calendula or chamomile.

I use these herbs because they treat : sensitive scalp, irritated scalp, dandruff. They also strengthen hair follicles & hair roots while stimulating the scalp.

I used to add brahmi, alma, & bhringraj before I started making ayervedic pastes.

I think my base conditioner is too thin of a consistency. It's okay to cowash with, but for DCing, especially under the steamer, it's not substantial enough for my hair. I'm going to switch to Tresemme perfectly undone. I used that when I was doing the MHM, and I think it will be pretty moisturizing with additives.

Honeyquat - no more than 5% or 2 tbsps
Wheat Protein - 1 to 5%
Panthenol - 5% for rinse-off formulations; less than 5% for leave-in/on formulations (soluble in water or glycerin)
Glycerin - 2 to 5%
SAA - 1 to 2.5%
Essential Oils - 2% for leave-in/on formulations; up to a 5 to 10% dilution for rinse-off formulations (2% dilution = 2 tsps; always add essential oils to a carrier oil first prior to including it into a mixture)

FWIW, I eventually nixed the honeyquat and glycerin in favor of honey or agave. Be sure to balance the sugars in the honey out with a good stabilizer, such as a preferred carrier oil.

Yes I did. Someone requested I do a follow up after 3 tries. Tomorrow is my wash day w/ Waikiki and I’m so excited. This stuff is amazing. My hair feels soft & moisturized after I rinse it out, giving me lasting softness following the LOC Method. I have the Amazon & Henna Gloss to try as well.

Hi! I forgot to ask you if you had to use conditioner to get any excess of the mask out when you rinsed. On their website it’s saying to use conditioner to get everything out. Did you have to or just a normal rinse removed everything?

Also, did you try the Amazon mask?

No I didn’t have to use a conditioner to rinse it out. I’ve used it for a 3rd time the weekend past with the same results. I love it.

I love the Amazon as well. It’s definitely a strengthening booster. I paired this w/ 2 moisture DCs and both were overpowered (no slip) with the Amazon. To be honest, I believe the green tea hair rinse is strengthening so finding a DC + Amazon combo that gives me strength AND SLIP is of no rush. I love the strength but I need the slip to finger detangle in the shower.
