So I was wanting to know what do you hair experts do when your hair is not growing as you want it to?
I have been taking really good care of my hair for at least the past 1 year and after damaging my hair with a crazy glued on quick weave (I know I know) I am back on track but one side of my hair is just thin for some reason and I never had this issue before...its very discouraging.
I am pregnant and hoping that these hormones help my hair grow but if not I am debating cutting it once the baby comes.
What do you ladies do when you hair is not cooperating and also do you ever just need to start over and cut it?
Thanks!

I found that my hair would thin on one side because i always slept on the same side every night and i always wrapped my hair in the same direction. i had to start alternating to see a difference.

First of all, is this slow growth normal for you? If it's a situation where you've always had fast growth and all of a sudden it slowed down, then you might need to investigate what changes you've made that might be impacting the slow growth. If on the other hand (like me), you are maximizing your growth potential (exercising, eating right, proper hair technique etc.,) and your hair is not growing as fast as you like then there is nothing you can do but continue with the routine and leave your hair alone. Give it a break from the daily combing - bun it up, braid it up, weave it up - whatever, and then you will be motivated/surprised after the break that it is indeed growing.

Slow growth (no matter what I do) has been a constant disappointment for me since I BC so now I am hiding it away for a while and less frustrated dealing with it daily. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

I agree with mystic.

My hair broke off really badly. The last time I had bad breakage like this I wore braids and it grew back. I think I needed to get my mind off of it.

And thats what Im doing now except I'm wearing a half wig but still moisturising and DC my hair regularly.

My left side has been thin for like 3 years now. and its finally starting to catch up. I think if I hide my hair until Dec under the wig, I'll see a lot of retention.

I agree with the other posts. I think you should hide it. When you look at your hair constatntly you will not see any improvement. Do you take pictures ever so often so you can see progress?

Yup. If I have breakage I cannot get under control, I stick them in braids AND I stretch for a good five or six months. When I finally retouch, the breakage is under control and I have a nice treat in gaining length.
