What do you do when you're tempted to BC or relax? How do you 'talk yourself down'?

This question is mainly for the transitioners. I'm 7 months into my transition and I'm in need of some inspiration right about now

i'm a year and 2 months in my transition. I went to the hair salon last week and was thinking about relaxing. My hairstylist convinced me to keep transitioning. Plus, because my relaxed ends were already thin, if she relaxed me she would probably cut most of the thin ends off and I would be maybe 2-3 inches away from the natural hair.

I've been transitioning since June 07. I felt like I was going to shave my head in December when I went home to visit my family. I was really against getting braids since I work in consulting and I wasnt sure what the reaction would be, but I couldn't take it anymore and my mom kept bringing it up, so I just put them in. I wear them back in a bun 90% of the time and being the only AA female in the office, well only AA period, I don't think most of the people in the office have noticed the braids.

It has helped me go from 6 to 9 months. I'm nervous when I take them out I might panic but I'm going to try to have patience. I definitely don't want to relax and if I decide to BC I'll just rebraid it. HTH!

i don't like braids/weaves/wigs but good suggestion.

I don't think i can take anymore braidout buns!:nono:

i know you said you don't like wigs... but what about a fall. i don't like wigs much either but i found a really nice 3/4 curly fall that looks very natural. have you considered this option versus a full wig?
