HEY LADIES, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OF MY HAIR TYPE. I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS A 4 SOMETHING, BUT NOW THAT I AM GOING NATURAL, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I MAY BE A 3C OR 4A. JUST WANTED TO GET SOME FEEDBACK. THE PIC IS JUST A CURL I PULLED OUT FROM A DAY OLD WASH-N-GO.

I'm guessing 4a with a little bit of 4b..but then again..i don't know jack!LOL

Not an expert, I ain't even natural, but I can tell you, if you want accurate hair typing, you have to take a good pic. Meaning: freshly washed/ dried, no product, and no manipulation. So, no braid-outs, no twist-outs, no s curl, no shea butter, nunadat. And, it should be a whole head pic. I have at least three different textures on my head.

I will bump this for you so you can get more help on your hair type question. :look:

I think you are a 4a but I am no expert.

My phone won't let me see the picture close up but judging by the waves and curl pattern it may be 3C/4A.

I don't think you need to wash and not put product to see the curl pattern. Without gel my hair is pretty frizzy and crazy looking LOL

4...

Porosity, coarseness, and texture will tell you more about how to care for your hair than these numbers though :p

I read something that if your curls are the width of a pencil or smaller, you are in the 4's.
