What is oil rinsing question...

What exactly is it? Is it just pouring oil on your hair and rinsing it off?? Do you use some type of special oil? Aren't you locking moisture out of your hair by doing that? Is your hair too oily afterward?

People always ask if it locks out moisture and I have no idea why it doesn't, but the effect is the opposite. My hair will stay moisturized for days.
