The single best is conditioner only washing... but my other staples learned from the board are air drying, MN, relaxer stretching, protective styling, combing only when wet, caruso rollers, 1/2 wigs, bonnet at night, .... wait a minute, I'd be here all day listing what has helped me. Is this a trick question?

Deep conditioning. Before LHCF, I rarely DC'd.

moderate heat usage
protein/moisture balance

I met Samantha Jones on another board. The women is a natural hair care goddess.

deep conditioning for an hour twice a week with heat. My hair is loving me right now.

Awe.............:giggle::bighug:

The single best thing I ever did was start using the Shampoo for cleaning the tub.... Then switch to all natural stuff........

co-washing and using regular conditioner as a leave in. These have taken my hair to a whole nother level!

Learning about the moisture/protein balance.

And clarifying made a world of difference in my hair. I learned how to use Emergencee properly (meaning b/4 and after relaxer). Sorry, couldn't just list one.

It's a tie between moisturizing and stopping all direct heat.

Deep conditioning has been a God-send for me. I never did it before,. I thought getting a trim was the only way to make my ends behave. And I hate trimming so my ends always loooked busted...now I know why.

deep conditioning, protein, and using amazing products such as keracare, paul mitchell, joico, and redken. all of these have been well put to use

Sooooo many things to choose from....moisturizing, frequent washing (was a every 2 wks kinda girl), stretching, dc-ing, protective styling, taking care of MY hair while in braids/twist/weave. But the single most helpful thing has to be co-washing.

Finding hair care forums! But if I had to choose from what I've learned at the hair care forums I'd say moisturizing/CO washing. My hair was super dry and fly away. I was using all of the wrong stuff. Being on the forums has opened my eyes to a lot and I couldn't be happier!

I totally agree! :yep:

THIS FORUM!!!! but specifically DCing at least 2x a week with hot towels

Learning what moisturizing really means. Before LHCF I was using oil thinking it was moisturizing my hair everyday.:wallbash: My hair would grow past shoulders but would break off after that and I would be left wondering why.:rolleyes: The oil blocked out any little amount of moisture I was getting.

Also, honorable mention to limiting heat, and protective styling, oh and cowashing, and MN, and protein/moisture balance, and porosity control etc.....:lachen:
