What makes your hair soft?

My hair texture has changed. My hair was somewhat soft b4., but now it is unbelievably soft.

When I was in braids I went overboard with the braid sprays, surge, and conditioner washes..Also I've been using MSM for the past month..I don't know what caused the change...

I'm not sure if this is good or bad...Could it be the result of overconditioning?

Just about any type of conditioner makes my hair soft... some are better than others though... /images/graemlins/smile.gif
