What's a good non-sulfate shampoo?

I'm trying to go back to the basics with my hair, and when I was younger we used to use Creme of Nature religiously. However, they changed the formula, that's no longer a option. Are there any other non-sulfate shampoos for ethnic hair that are just as good, if not better?

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat, Jason Naturals Biotin, Mill Creek Botanicals Keratin Shampoos

all three have conditioners by the same names, color coded to match, you can get them at Whole Foods & I've bought Mill Creek at Marshall's.

Marshall's/TJ Maxx usually have cheaper shampoo & conditioners in their bath and body section, it's like always half price, so don't sleep on that store.

Abba Pure Moisture Shampoo - it smells good, it makes your scalp tingle and it makes my hair really soft!

I use Organix coconut milk shampoo, it's like 5 bucks and you can get it at walmart or target. I also use the conditioner and split end mender

Also, if there's a Trader Joe's in your town, their NourishSpa shampoo is quite good, and it's like $2.99.

I use MOP-Modern Organic Products C-Hydrating Shampoo. I had to have tried about 8 differnt Shampoo/Conditioner combos, it took me about 8 months, but I found MOP, and I love it and the Extreme Moisture Conditioner. You can get it from Ulta or Bath & Body Works online.

The article gets pretty interesting when he/she talks about hair loss associated with sulfates. They also describe the actual smell of SLS as a raw material.

That article is a real eye-opener! I'm so glad I switched to sulfate-free. Now I know I will NEVER go back.

I'm a little lost. I faithfully used Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo & Elucence Poo's but I recently switched to WEN.

I was under the impression that anything that "foams" is somewhat related to SLS or at least I should say a "detergent". But doesn't the product need some type of "detergent/cleanser"?

I believe QP uses the Coco...Betaine and Elucence uses Sodium Myreth Sulfate.

Are these ingredients just as drying as the SLS?

Luckily I still have 2 huge sizes of the green CON left.....I have been experimenting though w/ possible replacements. So far my two winners have been Sally's Hair One- Jojoba. It cleanses and leaves your hair feeling so moisturized. A new favorite is Derm Organics conditioning shampoo, it actually lathers really well and it smells so good.

I'm pretty sure shikakai shampoo bars are sulfate-free. That's what I use for shampooing. I want to try Giovanni Smooth as Silk shampoo since I'm so in love with the conditioner, but I figure why change shampoos if Swastik is doing me right.
