That DVD is pricey, but it really looks interesting. The proceeds do go to a good cause though. I honestly had no idea about the shop owner magazines being printed in Korean . . . Wow now thats something I was thinking about this the other day. There are two main beauty supplies that I frequent in my neighborhood, a Korean owned one and an African owned one. The African owned one always has problems keeping products on the shelves and never has what I am looking for. The selection is literally like They didn't even have Elasta QP and ORS-- even Walmart carries those lines now! The Korean one has aisles and aisles of products upon products to try.

The lady at the African beauty supply offered to order something for me, and though I really needed the product at the time-- I decided to give her a chance and wait. Well, that was months ago and the wait continues. I had a similar instance at the Korean owned one, trying to get my Mizani relaxer. They didn't have it but offered to order it and let me know the day to come pick it up. I showed up, bought it and she gave me a discount for waiting and coming back. You can guess which one I end up frequenting.

I'm still waiting for the DVD to start playing (it's slow coming up). I did read some of the comments on the site though. When people, regardless of race, put love and positive energy into their businesses, they will thrive. It has to do with intention. Do they want to make a quick buck or do they really care about pleasing the customer?

I have always given black beauty stores a chance first. But I'm going to return to the store where I'm treated right and where I can find the hair product I want.

Ok, I watched it.
They are recommending wearing our hair short if necessary and boycotting all Korean hair beauty stores. That won't work, especially if there is nothing already in place. I believe instead of punishing the Koreans, we need to learn from them.

Now this is very intersting to me. Yes it is something I was aware of but would I actually do it? This makes me think of the possiblites.
