No major updates, yet. I got a trim in December at a new salon and it looked a bit sloppy for my taste, but I couldn't put my finger on the problem.
I went to an Aveda salon a few days later to have someone clean it up. The stylist told me there was a section in the back that had been cut into (as in vertically) and that's what was throwing the look off.
She did a good job on the trim, but she gave me extra layers that I didn't request, so I was annoyed at that and I learned that the Smooth Infusion line doesn't offer enough heat protection for me. So, after the second salon visit I was above apl (but not by too much) and the last couple of inches are heat damaged. erplexed
Lessons learned: No more trying random salons, no one straightens my hair but me, and no more trims until the end of the year. S&D's all the way.
