My favorite oil is a blend. Gleau Nourishing oil consists of argan, camellia seed, wheat germ, jojoba, etc. Eight oils in total but it's ultra light weight, softens and seals wonderfully.

I like olive oil and shea butter. Sometimes I mix them together.

I've never used shea butter before. I also need to order that.

Personally, I Like (in no particular order:look:):

JBCO
Avacado
Hempseed
Wheat Germ
Argan

:yep::yep::yep:

Thank you for your response ladies. It seems like not a lot of you use the Ayurveda oils anymore.

I still do, I have mahabringraj oil on my scalp right now. I'm a reformed PJ using up her stash, I use one thing this week something else next week. :ohwell:

Coconut oil is my #1 for hair softness, shine and scalp greazin'.

Castor oil all.day.long!! I use it on wet hair just before my leave-in (Shescentit Coco Cream) and my hair dries super-soft!! I also use a tablespoon in my DC.

I like castor oil mixed with coconut oil. The coconut oil helps to thin out the castor oil.

Hands down the oil that makes my hair like butta: Rice Bran Oil. Next is Coconut Oil

Not a fan of EVCO either. Makes my hair crunchy. It's Shea butter all the way for me.

Castor oil. I use it everyday without issues. A little goes a long way. I cowash, add S curl and seal with castor oil. My hair is SUPER soft.

Sapote oil (from Anita Grant), coconut oil+castor oil mix, and Motions Marula Oil have the best effect on my hair.

Castor Oil makes my hair feel so soft and really thickens it up.

Hands down castor oil. It can be JBCO or plain old cold pressed. Nothing makes my hair softer.

Coconut oil does come a close second, but it no where near provides my hair with moisture like castor does.

I don't need to apply it daily either. The softness lasts a long time (like three to four days).

I use Argan Oil and love the softness from that; I have never used Castor, even though I have a bottle that has been sitting there :) for over a year. :nono: tsk tsk

I love EVOO and EVCO. Either one of these oils keep my hair soft. The EVOO tames knots and tangles in my hair too.

Ultimate softness, castor oil. Rice bran oil makes a close second, and because its not as heavy/sticky I use it more often :yep:

NYLE Herbal! I have never ever used any other oil that works like this one does.

As soon as I applied it to my hair scalp my hair felt like butter! No kidding! There is nothing eles like it. At least that I know of and I've tried lots!:yep:

Castor oil makes my hair soft but not easy to detangle after because it is heavy/sticky. This is not applied to the scalp, only the hair. I love coconut oil only with heat or when it stays liquid. When it hardens...no way....
I need to try Argan oil. Does it penetrate the hair? Does it have moisturizing properties? We discussed oils that actually penetrate the hair shaft instead of coating....
Inquiring minds want to know!
