I always though winter was the harshest on hair but I realize summer is just as bad too. I know some folks get the summer growth spurt, but for me when it gets really hot, my hair gets VERY dry, plus the salt in the sweat is drying to the hair also.
So which season is hardest on your hair?

...breakage....
I also tend to stick to eating more healthfully in the summer. Additionally, while I still moisturize and protect my ends during the summer months, I don't have to worry about them accidentally touching wool collars and those types of materials like I do in the winter.

), but it's the truth. Even though it doesn't get super-cold down here, it gets cold and I notice that my growth rate is slower in winter than it is in the summer, and also my hair tends to be a lot drier during the winter months. It seemed like I had to co-wash practically every other day to keep my NG from matting up when it was colder. Now that it's summer I notice my hair is behaving a lot more nicely, and also it's growing a lot faster. I had a significant amount of NG just one month post relaxer as opposed to the two months it takes during the colder weather.
