After they have done your hair, you pay and never come back(lets say you were a regular). Do they think about us when we never come back? Do they wonder if they did something wrong or do they just assume we were being cheap?

I know that I was sick of ending up with dime sized and quarter sized bald patches after getting my hair relaxed. I was also tired of her not cutting my hair right, it would look good until a day or so later then I would see it was uneven or whatever. So I never went back. My mom still goes to her and from time to time the stylist will ask how I am doing. I wonder if she knows that I was tired of all the BS that usually goes along with getting your hair done (the waiting, the bad trims, the expense, etc).

Do stylists think about us when we never make another appointment?

THE FIRST THING THEY DO IS CLIP MY ENDS....excuse me not clip CUT my ends off. :burning:Cutting off all my growth right there. Then they don't condition long enough, and don't listen to me when I tell them what's been going on with my hair. They feel to me if you have horrible hair that untamely you will continue going to them. That's why I'm laying low on teh stylists for awhile...jsut dun tell my stylist...she thinks I love her...

Usually when I know my hair is a mess or not what I asked for they act like they don't want to finish the job. But that don't stop women from going back to them(included myself once ago

I was in bed awake and I had not gotten up for work yet. The phone rang (she should have called my cell like she did before). My grandmother answered it and she told me the phone was for me.

She was going on about how I still went to her when I came home for breaks during college, I went to her for years, she was concerned about why I don't want to come in anymore, she misses me, etc......

pressuring me to get trims when I didn't want to. I was paying her for a service and she didn't respect me. The disrespect started when I had started taking better care of my ends and I saw a huge decrease in splits. At touch-ups when I started telling her "I don't want a trim this time" she became very condescending and angry, even scolding me and yelling at me a couple of times like I was a bad child.

  Sometimes she would be nice.
Sometimes she would be nice. stylist we had every now and then to this day. We both felt obligated to go her since her grandmother/mother did our hair for years (she's no longer with us), and we had known her for a very long time. We were just close, and it was hard breaking way. After she burnt my mother hair several times while pressing and making a quarter-sized bald spot, we were quick to drop her, though. She pisses us off to this day! We are definitely mad at ourselves. It wasn't until after she made my bald spot that we left.

) on purpose. They know they did wrong. For instance, my mom and I were going to a stylist like that a few years ago. She was actually my aunts stylist. She cut my mothers hair all up when she asked for layers and my mom didn't really see it until she got home. It was late and she told her just to pin curl the hair when she took the rollers out instead of combing it out. My mom was upset and never went back. I went a few more times after that and she always asked about my mom. And she made a comment about my mom must didn't like her anymore or was mad at her or something. I think she cut her hair like that on purpose because when she did it, the shampoo girl asked her something like "Oh so is that how you cut layers?" or "I didn't know you cut layers like that". And the woman responded and said "No. This is how I cut MY layers." She cut a lot off and it was supposed to be long layers.

And she never did it again after that. My hair did grow when I was going to her. I saw a lot of improvement. I initially went because of breakage. But once I stopped going (once I got past the 8 week relaxer mark) it started snapping and breaking like crazy. My mom's new hairdresser said it was because of that particular relaxer. She said she didn't like that relaxer for that very reason.
