My ex who is italian had very course 4a hair. He still relaxes his hair every 2-3 months. He used to get on my nerves though cause he would overlap as if he were doing a virgin head, ON PURPOSE, with every relaxer. *smh*

If you go to borough park Brooklyn, you will see plenty of othodox jewish girls with 4a even 4B hair. I had an Italian Math teacher who had a full blown afro ( well Italy is close to africa so that also explains it)

I live in Brooklyn and see White Jewish women with 4a/4b hair all the time. I also went to a predominantly Jewish grad school where many of the women had 4a/4b hair.

I sure do, I went to high school with a girl who had 4a/b hair. It was kind of weird to see a white girl with more curls and kinks than my 3c hair. She went to a black salon and got her hair pressed out though.

I used to work with a white girl @ NY telephone(I am dating myself) and I used African pride oil and braid spray to give her rollerset. She used to love how silky it made her hair. We would laugh coming of of BSS-her and her African pride.lol

In my entire life I've seen about 6, including the mother with her two daughters I saw last week, all three had 4a/b blond hair. It was funny to see, I wanted to tell them about LHCF
I have two white friends who claim that if they step into the rain their hair will revert and get nappy, it really just curls up a bit

White girls with 4a hair? Absolutely I used to work with a nice girl with incredible 4a/b hair, she HATED it, she wore braids because she didn't know how to handle her hair but occasionally she'd wear her hair loose. I was 16 when I met her, it stunned me that a white girl could have a simillar hair texture to mine

Then ceramic straightners came along... she must have been beside herself!

Yes many, but I live in NY too full of Jewish folks and Italians with coarse/kinky hair.

I had a friend here that worked in a Caucasian spa in L.I. (she's Black) she specialized in doing relaxers on Caucasians. When she moved out of State many of them would travel so she could still do their hair.

Joy Behar on the View has kinky hair that she is proud to say she relaxes or maybe flat-irons. I stopped looking when Sherri came on the scene.

Yes. I have an Australian friend with 4a hair. She started relaxing it a couple of years ago.

Tons. I mean, hair texture and race aren't linked (just like skin color and race aren't), so it's not that rare. Plus, a lot of Blacks were able to pass, so many of these White folks with 4a/b hair have Black ancestry that they don't know about.

And I'm not knocking anyone who has a relaxer, but I find it interesting that most White folks who have 4a/b keep their hair that way (although, maybe they don't and I just don't know). Although, they probably don't grow up hearing that their hair type is unmanageable or that it needs to be fixed like us Black folks do. In fact, they probably get complimented a lot.

I've known many Jewish ladies with Afro hair texture, particularly among the Sephardim (Jews of Middle Eastern, rather than European, origin). It locs up just like African hair, too.

I've seen white people with kinky curly hair, maybe even a 4a. I don't think I've ever seen a white person with hair like mine, but I'm 4b. They can pick it out to a fro just because most tightly curled hair can be picked out to a fro. But wet it and throw some conditioner on it and do the same to mine and I don't think it would be the same. It would be interesting to see, though.

No but I have seen a white boy with 3c/4a hair that grew into THE MOST PERFECT fro. It had little springy coils at the ends and was an ashy brown. I honestly thought he was mixed when I first saw him, but he happens to be from Israel

I've seen white girls with very textured hair. One day when I was getting a touch up a white guy came in and got a relaxer on his head. He kept complaining about how much it burned him while he was getting it rinsed out b/c the stylist had the water pressure up way too high.

A lady I go to occasionally to get my hair done told me that even though she offically opens up at 8am, white girls come to her all of the time at 5am to sneek in and get their weaves and relaxers.

Yes we had this woman come in all the time. She's italian. They told me about her before I saw her and I was in disbelief until I saw her new growth.
