And to trim and dust is like you have to sneak lol. If my SO other sees me with scissors he jumps up and runs behind me asking what am I about to cut. But it's all for a good cause, I obsess about bluntness of my ends and I basically came to a conclusion why my hair has been stuck at the same length for a while and that's because I cut my hair too often. And since I have told him that he is on me about the scissors. Anyone else have a SO that does something similar or remind you to do a protein treatment or etc lol

i'm like you when it comes to the scissors. i dust weekly!

anyway, he is a little concerned. he wants me to keep it long, makes sure i wrap it up, and if i am having a bad hair day, he will tell me to just put my little wig on. he lets me talk about my hair an he acts like he is interested. he likes to stand in the bathroom and watch.

Weekly?! You must be doing microscopic dusts lol. My SO other actually knows the stuff we know on here. His brother has dandruff and uses grease and he explained why he shouldn't use grease and use a moisturizerand his brother was like the grease is moisturizing it and he explained but his bro is 13 and basically do anything his mom tells him so...

This was in the early days of our relationship when we had just started spending the night at each other houses .... I had forgotten my satin scarf and he offered to tie my hair up with his football shorts saying "well they're silky"

hes the youngest and has 2 older sisters so he's pretty aware of girly things lol

now I have a duplicate of everything I need at his house so ... no more football shorts for scarves lol

and he will often request certain hairstyles particularly the "the squiggly one" = twist out ... and offer to "do may hair" but umm no !!! The most I let him help is to hold the knot on my scarf when Im tying it :lachen:

I bet he has a dead serious face holding that knot too lol

DH hates when I mention that I am going to trim. I do it sometimes to harass him :look: And when I do trim, he can't tell the difference. I think it is funny because in his past relationships, the women he was in a relationship with wore weaves or wigs. So when we got together him and SDS assumed that my natural hair was a weave. But I am use to getting weave checked.

LOL yes then marvels at his handywork :spinning:
whenever he's asked to do something girly he makes sure to point out how effective he was at doing it ... like "did you notice that I timed my release of the knot perfectly so that the scarf didn't get loose?" :lachen:

Im like ... yes hunny, you are the best knot holder in the world !!!!

No, LOL! My SO could care less if I have a fade or BSL hair. He likes all of my different hairstyles. I am teaching him the LHCF way. I taught him about the Pibbs 514, DCing vs. CW, so he has a ways to go. Overall, he still doesn't give a rip and gives me carte blanche to do what I like, when I want to. He did actually tell me to go get my hair done when I came back from Haiti. I was looking like I played with electricity in the bathroom, LOL!

Ok I just spit my smoothie out :lachen:
Love your hair that siggy though ... gorgeous !!!

DH is always nervous when I get the scissors out. He asks if I'm cutting my hair AGAIN. I have to explain every time that it's just a trim. I've rubbed off on him a little bit too. He's graduated from washing his hair with Irish Spring, to actual shampoo and conditioner.

Irish spring?!

DH definitely cares about my hair almost as much as I do. He made sure we got the Pibbs (he uses it too) and he also got us the steamer (again he uses it).

DH has stood over a couple of stylists when I got my hair trimmed. His own stylist still jokes with him about the time he stood over her mom when I got my first mini chop. He warned her to not cut too much and he actually waited there with me for a long while (no appointment).

He has never washed my hair for me but he has helped me do my Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I wish I could teach him to braid or to do extensions. I'd love it if he could put in my Senegalese twists or Crochet Braids. My BIL can do cornrows but I've never convinced DH to learn.

I found my hair shears with his tools and i was pissed! He thought they were just scissors and was surprised and upset to find out that I used them on my hair! I bought another pair and they are hidden very well from him

My SO used to put in my Curlformers when I was relaxed. He would have the serious face and pop my hand out the way if I tried to check his parts or the thickness of the hair. He once told me "your hair is breaking near the root. You need that protein stuff" lol. I was like yes baby, you're right. He also takes all my length check pics and helped me bleach my hair. He helped me rinse my relaxer out, and even got me hip on the sly to some conditioner and bobby pins in his moms bathroom. He's hilarious.

My SO asked to put my curl formers in but I'm scared hair will be pulled out, just like I did when I first got them

I actually became a natural because of my SO :) best decision I have ever made. He gets excited with every hair victory. He ask my advice on any hair issue and speaks of me as if I'm the hair Goddess :D lol I'm so glad he convinced me to stop relaxing and embrace the poof/curls/straight just any style me

 yes OP, I'm under strict orders to cut 1/4 inch a month if I must. This was after I cut 3 inches earlier this year after I had said I was going to cut 1/2 inch. I got carried away since it was processed hair anyway. When I mention that I might start to texlax again (I won't, it's just a threat when I'm venting), he lets me know that he doesn't want a "chemical head". I was so excited about transitioning and wearing my natural, unprocessed hair that he understands my point exactly and he wants to make sure I reach whatever goal I have. I'm thankful for the support.

Yes honey. His poor head was so dry. Now he's all up in my coconut oil and AO conditioners. He even "DCd" his little 1/4 in. of hair.

Lol, when curly hair is moisturized it definitely looks 100% better. My SO knows that now, I think just like majority of natural curly hair people thought that kinky or curly hair isn't attractive and just to cut it so you won't have to deal with it but when it's moisturized it looks so much better ! :)

My SO is starting to mess with my stash of products :( I recently got my Qhemet Biologics moisturizers and he has been using them DAILY. I'm going to have to hid it from him eventually...lol

He no longer uses that dreadful motions pink moisturizing lotion... He's even asking me about shampoos and conditioners.

No thank goodness. He does comment in how many products I have ... And he likes to watch me when I'm detangling or styling my hair and comment on how much hair I have & how long it is (can't lie, I like that part lol). He also has this weird obsession with sometimes putting his fingertips in the roots of my hair. I just ask him to go ahead & scratch while he's there

Other than that... He's not all in my Reggie & he's not giving suggestions. Thank goodness. That would irk the hell out of me.

Nah ah when he paid 18 dollars for that bottle, I know he brought it but still...it's mines
