Are you allowing your hair to air-dry before putting on the wig? Are you braiding, twisting, manipulating your hair in any way after the wash? If so, then I would have to say that it is a bit of an overkill. I used to co-wash everyday when my hair was shorter and loved it, however I wasn't doing anything else to it (think wash and go).
Is that overkill? My hair is just an inch past ear and I'm wearing wigs daily. Is it too much on my hair to co-wash Tuesday-Thursday, pre-poo with oils on friday, then wash on Sunday?
You could try it out for a little while. If it works for you then I dont think its overkill. I co wash just about everyday and my hair does better than when i dont do it. You have to go by what works for you. This is why I asked the question. I've been reading up on reggies and some folks really praise co-washing everyday or every other day. I thought that maybe I was missing out on something that could boost the condition of my hair. It's quite inconvienient for me but I didn't retain much growth over the past 4 months and co-washing was the only thing missing from my reggie that made it different from other success stories. Just looking for some help.
Cichelle, how did u manage CO everyday in the winter?
