Hey yall! I'm getting braids tomorrrow with kanekalon hair and wanted to know what recs you all have for a good hair moisturtizer/cream or gel to use when braiding to add shine and control frizzies. I prefer something without cones and if it is a gel, a non-drying one. TIA! :D :D

When i use to get my hair done at the shop, the most they used was
A gel, like Jam or Smooth n shine for the edges
Grease--for the parts
Leavein liquid spray or braidspray once finished for the braids
Oil sheen once finished for the braids

Sometimes i would come in with airdryed or blowdryed hair w/no product, and they would tell me it was to dry, and they would put grease (:wallbash:), oil, or a regular hair creme on my hair.

Other times i would come in with already moisturized hair, and they would tell me it was too greasy and oily ()

So nothing much really.

Lol!! That's why I don't go to salons. My mom will be putting in these braids :D :D Thx for the reply fluffy. Anyone else?

I have used cream and gel

Jamaican Mango and Lime
Aloe Vera gel
Eco gel
Grow Afro Hair cream
Braid spray

I have used it all.

When I used to braid, I used jam or a cream oil moisturiser.

I use Profectiv in the pink jar when I redo my braids.

Elasta Qp mango butter and castor oil...(sometimes mix some glycerin in) nice lush hair when I take it out:yep:
