All I will say is, if you do not have one, I strongly suggest you rush and get yourself one or two. This brush goes through my hair like butter. I always detangled with a wide tooth comb and immediately afterwards with a Denam Brush. Well, the Felicia Leatherwood Brush has forever replaced my Denam Brush. It is great for defining your curls too.

I have both. The Felicia Leatherwood brush and the Tangle Wrangler. I paid $1.85 from a local horse supply store. The $1.85 brush preforms better in my hair. The Felicia Leatherwood version is harder and stiffer. The flexibility of the cheaper brush makes detangling easier for me.

I tend to reach for the $1.85 one the most. Truthfully, I enjoy using them all.

I like a lot of the the ladies have several variations of this brush including the Felicia Leatherwood Brush. I love them all. I don't mind that the Felicia Leatherwood brush cost more because it meets the bottom line of getting my money's worth and I love the privilege of supporting black entrepreneurs who have this business 'on point'.

I can’t answer that one. The kareco brush and the ez detangler are my favorites. I think it’s all about preference. Most people rave about the denman brush but I hate it as a detangler. I have fine densely packed type 4a strands that like to stick together like Velcro. I am natural with long layers. My shortest layer is apl and the longest is bsl. I like my Rusk Paddle brush as a detangler too.

My daughter has mid-back and armpit length (when stretched, neck length unstreched) super thick hair (I usually wash and detangle in six separate section and use a dog sprayer in the shower). I currently use the Denman D4 just because that's what we have. It's the thickness and strand density that is more of a challenge with her hair than tangles and curls when washing/detanging. So I was looking for a better solution than the D4.

I got my 2 felicia leatherwood brushes 2 years ago and love them both.

I am actually awaiting a new brush
(The behairful brush) that curlies claim is even easier and faster on the hair than the felicia leatherwood.

I can't get my hands on the tangle wrangler, because it doesn't ship to Toronto...or maybe it did, but the shipping was like 50 dollars

I have the same wash routine for my daughter. She's 4a/3c with super dense fine strands that coil up on each other too. The Tresemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Coconut milk and Aloe vera conditioner has a ton of slip. the kareco brush and ez detangle brushes work well for her. I also use the wet comb and a jumbo rake to detangle her hair sometimes too.

I bought the Tangle Buster and have been using it for the past 3 weeks. It was a bit rough in the beginning but I think my hair is calming down. It is definitely better than the Wet Brush and Conair Brush I was using.

I may try the Tangle Wrangler in the future.

I've had my $6.00 tangle wrangler for years. I bought it locally at a horse store.

I seperated each row so my hair glides through so easily.

I bought the tangle buster. I love it but... initially I tried to use it horizontally and that really hurt my hand. I have a Ganglion cyst on my wrist so that can be why, but I have never experienced it with any other brushes.

When I started detangling using it diagonally it went way smoother and easier. No hand or wrist pain. Nothing has ever got through my tangles so easy. I also think I want one that's a little smaller because it is very large.

I have both the felicia brush and the EZ detangler. The felicia brush is a hard plastic. I'm not fond of how it feels in my hand (thin handle) and at times when I use it, it doesn't feel as nice on my strands while I'm detangling. The EZ is made of a more pliable plastic and has a better handle (thicker and more comfortable to hold while detangling). My hair is thick and long and I can detangle both small and larger sections of hair better with the EZ detangler than with the FLB.

I do use the FLB after a blow out to brush/comb through my strands though.
