I usually wait 6 weeks to get a touch up, but this time I wanted to wait at least 8 weeks. My hair grows like weeds. It's been almost 4 weeks since my last touch up and my roots are beyond horrible! I had difficulty unwrapping my hair this morning!

:lachen: Sad, but true.

Anyway, here are a few things I wanted to know:

1. What are some tips for a successful stretch?
2. How can I fight breakage when my roots become uncontrollable?
3. What are some good anti-breakage products and/or regimens?

Thanks in advance!

I wish my hair grew like weeds...but I digress.:(

Msm helps soften the new growth.
When I'm stretching and bunning I use Scurl sometimes. It works like wonders.

BT (boundless tresses)
protective styles
deep conditioning
a great leave in (I luv giovanni direct leave in)
coconut oil

I wouldnt wrap when you have a lot of new growth. It can cause more shedding and breakage but thats from my own experience. Maybe try a roller set.

Oh someone on here has a technique where you wash and deep condition your hair and then put a satin scarf on their head and then put rollers on the remanding ends of your hair.

It really smoothes down your newgrowth on the top of your head.
