My stylist always tells me that I take my weaes out too soon because I take them out between 21-30 days after I get them done. It's not that I always want a fresh hairstyle but my hair seems to grow so much because of the braids that it begins to look super out of control around 20 days. The new growth begins to make the braids hang and it looks bad. I cover my hair with a bonnet, sleep on silk pillow cases and use applicator bottles to shampoo and condition my hair underneath. Do you think I'm over reacting or do you think she is rightn about it??

Depends on the type of hair. Milky Way/ Outre 20 days is about right. And if you're experiencing that type of growth then thats the brands of hair I would go with. But if you have Remi or the like then 20 days is too soon, you're wasting money

I used to take them out that soon also, but it is because I get bored and such. That is a no no for me, it is wayyyyy to soon and too much money!!! But like she said, if you are spending less money on hair, than it is about right. However, you are still spending between $100-$200 dollars on installment alone. That is alot. Then also consider the manipulation that you put on you hair during that time. I say leave it in!

thanks ladies... i actually only pay $50 for a ful head since my roommate does it....anyone else?? bump bump

Leave it in, let this be your time to let your hair completely rest. I leave mine in for about 6 to 8 weeks. I wash every week, with rollersets, or flat irons.

--The problem really could be that you are just anxious to actually see the growth. So you take the hair out. lol. <-- I am totally like that.
